United Way of Kaufman County

United Way began in 1887 with a rabbi, 2 ministers, and a priest founded the Charity Organizations Society in Denver, which planned and coordinated local services and conducted a single fundraising campaign.


There are 1,800 local United Ways in 40 countries and territories.


United Way of Kaufman County began as a commuunity chest in Terrell, TX mid 1980's.  We became Terrell-Kaufman United Way in 1992, serving two cities.  Now we serve 6 cities in Kaufman County and 2 in Van Zandt County.


Crandall, Elmo, Kaufman, Rosser, Scurry, Terrell, Edgewood, and Wills Point.
